MUPH Iloilo Named

Iloilo Province will once again be represented on the national stage of Miss Universe Philippines, this time under its new Miss Universe Philippines 2027- Iloilo Province Local Director, Ms. Jenerose Gasendo.

The Sashing and Contract Signing Ceremony was held at Rustica by Miguel Cordova in Jaro, Iloilo, where Miss Universe Philippines Vice President for Global and National Search Ms. Mags Cue graced the event alongside members of the media and vlogging community, as well as family and supporters.

And the highlight to the occasion, Miss Shireen Shahmardani Jones was officially sashed as Miss Universe Philippines 2027 – Iloilo Province. A Filipino-Persian content creator, Shireen is ready to represent her beloved province and embark on her journey to the national stage. 

Beyond the crown, Shireen is a passionate advocate for maternal mental health and greater accessibility to pre- and postnatal care, using her platform to bring more attention to the physical and emotional support mothers need before, during, and after childbirth.

Through her journey, she hopes to remind women - especially mothers that caring for themselves and continuing to pursue their dreams can exist alongside motherhood.

With this new partnership, looking forward to a bigger, stronger, and better MUPH Iloilo Province. Iloilo has a proud history of producing remarkable beauty queens, and truly excited to see what this new chapter will bring.
