Sandugo Festival King 2026

A new Sandugo Festival King was named during the coronation night held on July 17 at the Bohol Cultural Center, marking one of the featured events of the ongoing Sandugo sa Bohol 2026 celebration.

Presented by the Alturas Group of Companies in partnership with the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, the competition gathered 12 candidates representing municipalities across the province.

Jude Anthony Piodos of Balilihan was crowned Sandugo Festival King 2026. Meanwhile, Mac Chester Tanupan of Tagbilaran City was named 1st Runner-Up, Herol James Liston of Cortes as 2nd Runner-Up, Kim Cenia of Candijay as 3rd Runner-Up, and Janiel Plurad of Tubigon as 4th Runner-Up.

Major awards were also conferred during the coronation program. Liston received the Best in Streetwear and Best in Swimwear awards, while Cenia was named Best in Interview. Tanupan, meanwhile, earned the Best in Festival Costume award.
More than a competition, the Sandugo Festival King program continues to promote appreciation for Bohol’s diverse cultural heritage and festival traditions. 

Sandugo Festival King 2026 is part of this year’s grander Sandugo sa Bohol celebration, organized under the 'Bibo’ Stream. The celebration takes place from June to August 2026 and is held in various venues across the Bohol Island Geopark.
