Miss World PH 2026 Unveils 24 Candidates

 MISS WORLD PH 2026 UNVEILS 24 CANDIDATES

The Miss World Philippines Organization kicked off this year’s pageant season to a promising start as it formally introduced its roster of twenty-four official candidates on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Okada Manila, Parañaque City.

Voted Darlings of the Press were:

1. Davao Region - Jayvee Lorejo

2. Ifugao - Valerie Pawid West

3. FilCom UK - Margarethe Romano

In addition to its growing roster of franchise partners, the organization eagerly welcomed the participation of its candidates from the Filipino communities of Hawaii, New York, Singapore, the United Kingdom, as well as Davao City, Ifugao Province, Iligan City, and Sultan Kudarat.

 

Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria hopes that this year’s winning candidate will surpass the achievement of Krishnah Gravidez, who was crowned Miss World Asia 2025 at the 72nd Miss World pageant held in Telangana, India.

 

He says, “Despite our string of major victories in last year’s global pageant stage, we still keep our hopes high to reclaim the elusive blue crown. Krishnah set the bar high with her near-finish last year, but we pray that we remain consistent with our winning track record last year.”

 

Taking great pride in his latest batch of franchise partners, Vegafria is optimistic about tapping even more Filipino communities across the globe as part of his organization’s advocacy for inclusivity.

 

“Aside from ensuring fair representation from all over the world, this directive also enables us to keep up with our legacy of promoting local tourism through our humble efforts,” he adds. 

 

“With the ongoing criticism being faced by local tourism officials, we can only do our best by spearheading our own initiatives to promote Philippine tourism using our pageant platforms.”

 

And in keeping with the global Miss World organization’s ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ motto, the Miss World Philippines Organization remains relentless in its quest for relevant and meaningful advocacies. To date, some of its charity efforts have targeted mental health awareness, education, cancer prevention, women’s and children’s welfare, community development and disaster relief.

 

After the press presentation, the candidates hurdle the usual Fast Track (i.e. Top Model, Talent, Sports Challenge, Multimedia Challenge and Head-to-Head Challenge) Challenges until the end of the month, culminating in the Charity Gala Night scheduled on January 29 at the Okada Manila Grand Ballroom.

 

The Miss World Philippines 2026 Coronation Night is scheduled on February 3, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
