Misters of Filipinas Loses Miss & Mister Celebrity Intl Franchise

MISTERS OF FILIPINAS LOSES MISS & MISTER CELEBRITY INTERNATIONAL FRANCHISE

In an Instagram story, Miss and Mister Celebrity International posted that their contract with Misters of Filipinas will not be continued for the year 2026.  This was only a few days after that the Philippines had won the international tilt in Malaysia.  Read the whole statement above.

The new franchise goes to Mr. Apollo Smith of Mister Tourism World Philippines.

Jaycee Lopez, the Mister Celebrity International Philippines that will be competing next year had also relinquished his title.  Read his official statement thru the Mister Bataan Organization:

OFFICIAL STATEMENT

During my participation in Misters of Filipinas 2025 held on October 22, 2025 at SM City North EDSA - Skydome, I was originally crowned Mister Tourism Philippines. 

Following the resignation of the then-reigning Mister Celebrity International Philippines, I was unexpectedly announced, crowned, and officially given the title of Mister Celebrity International Philippines.

While the transition came as a shock, I accepted the responsibility with humility and gratitude. With the full support of my manager, the Mister Bataan Organization, and my family, I began preparing myself mentally, physically, and emotionally to represent our country on an international stage.

However, on the morning of December 24, 2025, I attended an emergency meeting with my manager, Sir Ryan Guanzon, and our Head for Communications, Sir Tonie Caragay. 

During this meeting, it was clearly communicated to me that I was being offered another title under a different pageant system.

In all honesty, this development was deeply disappointing. While I understand that there are circumstances beyond our control, the sudden change significantly affected my sense of direction, purpose, and commitment. More importantly, it led me to reflect on my personal values, advocacy, and long-term vision as a titleholder.

After careful consideration, prayer, and consultation with my family and manager, I have personally decided to step down from my title. This decision is final and made in good faith, in order to remain true to the principles and advocacies I stand for. At this point, I believe that the organization's direction no longer fully aligns with my values and with Mister Bataan, which I consider my home and foundation.

I would like to sincerely thank the Misters of Filipinas Organization for the opportunity, guidance, and experiences they have given me throughout my journey. I remain grateful for the people I met and the lessons I learned along the way.

Thank you for your understanding and respect for my decision.
