BPCI Sends-off Bb. Pilipinas International 2024 Myrna Esguerra
The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) sends off Binibini Myrna Esguerra with well wishes at the World Kitchens in Gateway Mall 2 on October 28 as she heads to the much-awaited Miss International beauty pageant in Japan.
Esguerra's loved ones and supporters, members of the press, pageant enthusiasts, and fellow Binibini queens gathered at the one-of-a-kind World Kitchens in Araneta City for a special tribute and celebration before she leaves for Japan next month.
The Abra-based beauty serves as a role model of grit and determination. She was born in Abra with her Kapampangan Father and Ilocano Mother, together with her sixteen (16) siblings. They moved to Angeles City, Pampanga, when she was a teenager. From there, Myrna attended college. She considers herself a self-sufficient woman, as she finances her own studies through modeling and participating in local pageants in Pampanga and in Abra.
She eventually won the title of Miss Abra 2023, which launched her as the province's representative for the first time at the 60th Binibining Pilipinas Pageant in 2024. She made history as the first "small-town girl" from Abra to clinch the Binibining Pilipinas International title.
Apart from the coveted crown, Myrna also bagged five special awards, including Best in National Costume, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, and Binibining Philippine Airlines. Weeks after she won the coveted title in Binibining Pilipinas, she graduated with a degree in Tourism Management with Specialization in MICE Events from the City College of Angeles. Myrna also dabbles in event coordination and hosting.
As a beauty queen, Myrna dedicated her platform to raising awareness on environmental preservation and sustainability. She's been a consistent volunteer in cleanup drives around the Philippines. She also works with the National Cleanup Coalition Philippines, a coalition of cleanup groups, government agencies, and local government units nationwide.
She is now setting her sights on clinching the Philippines' seventh Miss International crown at the highly anticipated pageant on November 27 in Tokyo, Japan.
