From Paraguay to the Universe: Yanina Gomez Gears Up for Miss Universe 2025
Miss Universe Paraguay 2025 Yanina Gómez was officially presented to the media during a press conference held on September 24 at the House of Yugen office in BGC, Taguig City. The event was hosted by Face of the Philippines Grand Winner Jamila San and attended by Mr. Ian Borromeo, Vice President for Operations and Communications of House of Yugen.
Yanina is a multi-talented individual who holds a master's degree in education and works as a lawyer, teacher, notary public, and dance instructor. This November, she will proudly represent her nation at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand.
Through her project 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐀 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐘, Yanina is more than just a beauty queen, she is an ardent supporter of sustainability, education, and health. In addition to delivering essential supplies like food, clothing, and medication, this program has constructed water wells for Indigenous communities, awarded more than 300 scholarships each year, and promoted sustainability through community gardens and farms.
Inspired by the success of Nadia Ferreira, Miss Universe 2021 1st Runner-Up and the highest achievement ever for Paraguay at Miss Universe, Yanina pursued her journey with renewed determination. She approached House of Yugen, led by Sir Josh Yugen, the same team that guided Nadia to international success. With their mentorship and expertise, she is setting her sights even higher.
Yanina also looks up to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, whose story of resilience rising from a pageant loss to being crowned Miss Universe reminds her that perseverance and determination can turn setbacks into ultimate triumphs.
Currently in the Philippines, Yanina is undergoing an intensive series of trainings and photo shoots with a world-class Filipino team, determined to make history as the first-ever Miss Universe winner from Paraguay.
Her story has already captured national and international media attention, with features in Enterate Magazine, Zeta Magazine, ABC Color, La Nación, OH! Los Tiempos (Bolivia), Imagen Magazine (Miami),and more. With elegance, resilience, and purpose, Yanina Gómez is set to showcase Paraguay’s pride and spirit on the Miss Universe stage.
